Iron Group Centered Youth Ministry

You may or may not have noticed by now but our youthministry is in transition. After yearsof big events, parties, outreaches, and service projects we have begun a newapproach to all of these activities.

We are moving more and more towards an Iron Group centeredyouth ministry. In doing this studentsare able to be more intentional about making an impact. For instance, each Iron Group is able to plantheir own outreach event to invite their friends to something that they willthen be able to use to talk about a personal relationship with Jesus. It gives students ownership inevangelism. It also makes it fun toinvite friends because the students build the event to be something that theyknow their friends will like.

With this being our approach it is now our main push to getall students into an Iron Group. Ibelieve that Iron Groups are the best option we have available for students togrow and be challenged in their walk with Jesus. It’s in Iron Groups where students arespecifically prayed for. It’s in IronGroups where students can share real life struggles and get spiritual/Biblicalhelp. It’s in Iron Groups that we can bevery specific with the lesson/discussion to relate it to what each student is dealingwith in their everyday life. It’s inIron Groups that students will best be able to reach their friends…etc…

If you’re not already involved in an Iron Group why notstart this week? They meet during Igniteon Sunday’s from 6-8 PM. We also have goodfood, great time to spend with friends, and fantastic worship. See you Sunday!
